Since it’s Friday, today’s “E” post will be short and sweet. :)

I like cheese. EXTRA cheese… even on Chicago style pizza, which comes with buckets of it anyway. But I still always order extra cheese!

Today’s post is about a different kind of cheese, but I had to mention Chicago-style pizza, because… well, because it’s me!

Have you ever shared a movie with a friend or family member and had them pronounce it, “Cheesy?” Maybe it was something you’d loved since childhood, so the cheesiness was something you didn’t even notice anymore, or never noticed. Maybe it just wasn’t their cup ‘o tea, but they couldn’t come up with any other reason not to like it, so they dismissed it as “cheesy.”

Trying to define what is meant by a label of “cheesy” is like trying to define the word “the.” I dare you to try… using a dictionary is cheating!

I have come to realize that, like beauty, “cheesy” is often in the eye of the beholder, and each person has a different tolerance for it.

I have an extremely high cheese tolerance when it comes to movies. Maybe it’s because I grew up on The Wilderness Family and The Neverending Story and Savannah Smiles… but I gravitate toward stories that most others would write off as “cheesy.” But I don’t care. I just love them. There tends to be something so wholesome and charming about most “cheesy” movies.

So… as with my pizza, when it comes to movies my order is, unashamedly, “Extra Cheese Please!”

How about you? Do you have a high or a low tolerance when it comes to cheese? What’s your favorite “cheesy” movie?

This post made me laugh! I like extra cheese on my pizzas too!

Hmm…if by “cheesy” someone meant childish, then I guess I like cheesy movies. I love nearly all Pixar, DreamWorks, and Disney films. Two of the movies I’m most looking forward to this year are “Despicable Me 2″ and “Monsters University.” So yes, I guess I like cheesy movies! :)

Hello, Jenelle! Foodwise, I love extra cheese on everything, too! Mmm, the more cheese the better.

I think of cheesy as being something a bit ridiculous, kind of over-the-top, with elements that are not at all necessary. My favorite cheesy movie is definitely The Fast and the Furious franchise. So much cheese but so so good!

I found myself sitting here scrolling in my mind through some of my favorite movies… trying to pick out ones that some might render as “cheesy”…. and I discovered that I may not be facing the “reality” of what “cheesy” really is… or that some of my favorite movies would even be classified as such! lol ;)
I narrowed it down to movies that I REALLY like (because there are plenty of cheesy movies I watch… but wouldn’t say they are really my “favorites,” other than they’ve become more tradition for us to watch as a family rather than something I’d pick out to watch by myself).
I like “Borrowed Hearts” – starring Roma Downy, Eric McCormack, Hector Elizondo as Javier Del Campo, and the little girl – Sarah Rosen Fruitman.
A-n-d— I like “Across the Great Divide,” starring Robert Logan (of “The Wilderness Family” fame!), George “BUCK” Flowers (also of “The Wilderness Family” fame!), Heather Rattray (and yet another of “The Wilderness Family” fame!) and Mark Edward Hal.

And of course, I really like “Savannah Smiles”. . . Yes, pour on the cheese! Mmmmm… it’s SO good! ;)

I think it may count as “Extra Cheese” when I tell you that we still only have “Borrowed Hearts” and “Across the Great Divide” on VHS!!! lol! I think the “cheesiest movies” are on VHS! ha!

I have both of those movies on DVD!!!! :)

I’d love to be in denial about my favorite movies being “cheesy” … but people in my age-range and younger seem more willing to “pounce” on anything cheesy, unfortunately… so instead, I’ve decided to embrace it. haha

I love cheesy movies, cheesy songs, and plenty of cheese on my pizza. Good thing I have leftover pizza to warm up for supper because your post made me VERY hungry for it! Stopping by for the A to Z Challenge–it’s so fun to discover new blogs!

Thanks for stopping by! (Glad you had pizza… we had pizza for supper tonight too… unfortunately it was just Papa Johns, and not Chicago style…)

I love hearing from you, dear Reader!
