Movies That Are Better Than Their Books

Let me begin by assuring y’all that I am a self-proclaimed, certified book dragon.

I LOVE books.

Ever since I learned to read, I have devoured books at a fairly unhealthy rate. (My daughter, reading over my shoulder, wishes to protest that there is no such thing as “reading at an unhealthy rate”) I maaay be inclined to agree with her.

I’ve gone through all the usual phases: dog stories, horse-crazy stories, a couple of rounds of fascination with vampires, and then I settled happily into fantasy and have dwelt there ever since.

Adventures, Episodes, and Nightstand Books: April/May 2021

The end of last week got a little busy, so I’m combining my April Adventures with my May Nighstand Books post. I didn’t figure anyone would mind. grin

April Writing Adventures

April felt like a bit of a rough month, writing-wise. We started the month off with a birthday and a holiday weekend plus hosting our homeschool group activity, and then dove straight into all my children getting colds, which took up the first week and a half of April. Then the second week of April saw me battling the headache from the abyss for 4 days straight… during which time I did not have a full-on migraine, but I couldn’t read or write at ALL.

These games, created by the same person/company, are very similar in their mechanics, so I figured I could tackle them together in a single post.

Both of these games are cooperative. That means that you and the people you are playing with are playing as a team against the game itself. You are working towards a common goal. Either you all win together, or the game beats you and you all lose together.
