Wild Steps of Faith With God

An Evening in the Stormcave: Season 2

Welcome back to another Evening in the Stormcave!

While you prepare for Thanksgiving, why not take a few minutes to listen into the first episode of a brand new season of An Evening in the Stormcave! Tonight, we are excited to invite you to join us as we chat with Philip Wilder about taking wild steps of faith WITH God.

Grant and I were so excited to have Philip over to our podcast and youtube channel. Philip is a missionary, author, and adventurer. His most recent book, Jake Rogers’ Planet, was a Christy Award Finalist, and has quickly become one of my new favorite reads in the past couple of months.

I met Philip very briefly at Realm Makers this past summer, and when I got home, I discovered that his latest book was available in audio, so I listened to it. Well, I loved it so much, that as soon as I finished, I started listening to it again with my kids right away! They are also loving it.

I also just knew that this was someone I wanted to have on our podcast, and I knew (simply based on Jake Rogers’ Planet) that he and my brother would probably get along great, so I was thrilled when he accepted our invitation to come have a conversation. (We discovered that Philip is indeed a “kindred spirit” and our conversation ended up being twice as long as it normally is, so we split the episode into two parts!)

Philip Wilder has traveled to 35 countries, served in the Middle East as an undercover missionary for two years, and has written nine novels and two nonfiction books. He has a heart and a passion for inspiring young readers to take wild steps of faith with God on a grand adventure.

Listen in as we chat about the importance of story-telling, dive into some of the things we love about Jake Rogers’ Planet, and the importance of doing life WITH God. You can find out more about Philip Wilder through these links below:
